INSURANCE
New York State Law requires all vehicles that operate "For
Hire", such as taxi's, Limousines, etc, possess "LIVERY" insurance
and registration. Livery insurance allows a vehicle to carry passengers for a fee and is five to seven times more expensive
than personal car insurance. We at Legacy Limousine are fully Insured with Lancer Insurance which is the most trusted Company
for Limousines. You may request to see our Insurance and registration papers and also suggest the same if you book with
another company besides us. The reason why is that some companies operate Illegally by not telling their Insurance Company
they use the vehicle For Hire. Insurance cards must say FH-1 and for Hire Passenger Vehicle. If they do not have the
ID cards that say this, they are operating Illegally and this could put you or your child at risk in case of an accident. All
New York State license plates should have the word LIVERY imprinted below the plate. Make sure
when you look at the limo or when the limo pulls up that it either has LIVERY or BUS imprinted on the plate. SUV limousines that seat over the
required passenger limit, should have a "BUS" under the plate number and DOT Inspection sticker.
If not, they are not incompliance. Make sure the inspection stickers are up todate.
